Remove Startup Entries From System Configuration

If disabling some applications from starting up automatically is not enough for you and their presence under the startup tab in msconfig bothers you, here is the solution. You simply have to delete the corresponding registry entry. But, if you’re wondering why you do not see the entry when you navigate to the right directory, it’s because you first have to re-enable the application.

The common location seems to be the Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Run directory of either HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER

Now, to delete.

That’s all there is to cleaning up your list of startup applications.
